Contractual relationship

If you book online on the Illuminati Escape Berlin website, do your sign-in on site or by playing a room, you conclude a contract with Gamopolis GmbH, which is based on these game rules and the prices from the price list. It is a contract for other services in connection with leisure activities for the provision of which a specific date has been agreed (§ 312 Para. 2 No. 9 BGB). This means that the right of cancellation under the Distance Selling Act is excluded for these contracts. So, booked is booked, if you don't come or come too late, you have to pay! This applies to online bookings as well as to bookings on site! A cancellation period of two days before the start of the game applies to bookings. If the booking is canceled after that, a cancellation fee of €78 will apply. If a coupon code (e.g. from Groupon) was used for the booking, this will expire. Participants under the age of 16 may only play our rooms when accompanied by an adult. There are no upper age restrictions. Play at your own risk Illuminati Escape Berlin themed rooms (“Rooms”) are played at your own risk. You play for up to 60 minutes in the booked room with a marked emergency exit. If you suffer from claustrophobia, epilepsy, asthma, heart disease or similar diseases, you should better not play our rooms. The same applies if you have contagious diseases. Should you nevertheless play our rooms, we are not liable for the resulting damage.

Introduction and Gameplay

All players take part in a 10-minute introduction to the game. So you should be with us on time. The game begins no later than 15 minutes after the agreed start of the game. If a player is not present at this time, the door of the room will close and the entry fee will be due. At least two players must be present, otherwise the room cannot be played. Each player undertakes to keep the “Secrets of the Rooms” secret and not disclose them to third parties (third parties are anyone who has not yet escaped the room). At the start of the game, each player declares that the room concepts, puzzles and effects represent Intellectual Property (IP) of Gamopolis GmbH and are not copied by him/her or used for their own commercial purposes.

Photo and video recordings

Photo and video recordings are not permitted in the rooms. Mobile phones are not allowed in the rooms. In the event of violations, we reserve the right to take legal action. After the game we will create a nice team photo for you to take with you in our photo booth.

Smoking, drugs and alcohol

You can actually imagine that! Anyone who wants to play our rooms needs a - very, very - clear mind, because we didn't make it easy for you. Participants who are drunk or under drugs at the start of the game will not be allowed to enter the room and the participation fee will not be refunded. If smoking or alcohol is consumed in the rooms, the game master will stop the game immediately and there will be no refund.

Damage and theft

No items may be stolen from the rooms. If you do this anyway, it is theft, it is punishable and we will report it to you. Since the game master can always see you in the room, that's not very clever either. We cannot guarantee game operations if important items are stolen from the room. So, please also think about those who play the room after you. If you accidentally or intentionally damage or destroy something, you must replace it. To solve our puzzles you need: brains, team spirit and combination skills, but never violence!

Wheelchairs & Handicaps

If you are a wheelchair user, access to our rooms on the 2nd floor is unfortunately not possible. If you have another physical handicap and other players are also playing in the room at the same time, that's no problem. But it depends on the room, your handicap and the other players (not all objects are within reach, etc.). So please send us an email at info@illuminati-escape.com and we will work with you to find out which room suits you best.

Clothing

Special clothing is not required to play in our rooms. However, we recommend sporty, comfortable clothing.

Liability/Jurisdiction

Illuminati Escape Berlin (Gamopolis GmbH) is only liable for intentional or grossly negligent behavior by its employees. German law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Potsdam.
